A Sacred Season of Prayer and Fasting
"The ACC Prayer Network has been given the mandate to call the ACC to be a people of prayer and fasting.
The Prayer Network has determined to declare a forty day fast in the lead up to the UCA National Assembly in July 2009, in Sydney.
With the empowering grace of God before us we invite and encourage the whole ACC membership to join in this sacred season of spiritual preparation. Relying on God, and trusting in the enabling power of the Holy Spirit we ask the ACC National Council to extend this call to the whole ACC membership for a sacred season of prayer and fasting.
Note:
We encourage each person to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit as to whether the fast should be total or partial, from food or in other ways, and as to the duration of their fast, keeping medical needs in mind."
