Abundant and overflowing joy
from God through Jesus

Luke 10:21
"At that time Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit."

Whatever exists in God
is also in the Triune God.
The Holy Spirit is not often mentioned
in the Gospels
yet he was always with Jesus.

John 15:10
"You will be filled with my joy.
Yes, your joy will overflow."

This is Jesus' promise for us.
This is a special joy,
not like our common experiences in life.
This is godly joy through Jesus.
It exists in God and is given to us through Jesus.

John 16:24
"And you will have abundant joy."

Abundant joy is not a single event
Jesus' joy goes on and on if we are willing to receive it.
Abundant also seems to suggests an increase of joy.

Phil 1:21
"Experience the joy of your faith."

When Jesus' joy penetrates our very being,
then we experience this joy through our faith
which then increases our joy.
