SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 9-17

 

Exodus 14:14

"The Lord will fight for you;

you need only to be still."

 

How difficult it is for us

to recognise God's involvement

in our day by day events,

and give him thanks for his loving guidance.

 

What a difference it makes

in our thanksgiving to him

when we recognise his guiding hand

in such events.

 

The wonder of it all

is that he does not take control of our lives

and that we still have free will to make decisions.

 

All he asks of us is that we be “still,”

and give him the opportunity to influence the situation.

Then his loving kindness changes

our living and decision making.

Still more important is that we thank

him for his watching over us.

 

"Heaven above is brighter blue

 earth around is deeper green. 

Something lives in every hue

Christless eyes have never seen."
