SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 8/27
Psalm 9:10
"For you O Lord do not abandon
those who search for you."
When we are at our lowest,
these words from the Lord
should lift us up.
They should revive our spirits and give us new hope.
We so easily separate
our downcast experience
from the God of Hope.
He does not separate himself from us.
When we most need him,
he is always with us
even when we pass through
"the valley of the shadow of death."
The Word reminds us
that we do not just sit and mope
about our predicaments.
It reminds us that we must ‘search'
for God in our need.
"Search and you will find" Jesus says.
I am always so amazed
that just around the corner
the Lord is waiting for us.
Sometimes it is through
the actions of another
who may not even be a follower of Jesus.
Sometimes it is
in a sympathetic word spoken.
He is always waiting expecting a request from us.
