SA ACC Prayer Kick Off 2010

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Christmas is fast approaching, with many different aspects to our lives. Family, Church community and wider community events. But the New Year too, is fast approaching. I would like to exhort us all at this time to consider setting aside January as "a Month of Prayer" in order that we begin our New Year strongly in prayer. The Assembly of Confessing Congregations within the Uniting Church is committed to playing a vital role and has a significant part to play with the Body of Christ, in order that we can positively be impacting not only the UCA , but also Australia and beyond for Christ.
I believe that part of our strategy to win this battle, is to be well prepared and preparing the way in prayer. As this new year 2010 begins, let us "Kick Off" and start this New Year with Prayer, as you gather and meet together, at various venues for perhaps a fellowship meal, to acknowledge God's sovereignty and dependence on Him.

Let us Confess afresh, our need of God, for :-
"We cannot do it with out Him" ~ We are helpless without His grace
Let us pray and commit again afresh, our very lives and work to God through ACC.
