ACC – SA Movement
On Friday 23rd February 2007 a ‘PASSING ON THE TORCH’ event was held at Tusmore Memorial UC to signify that EMU had merged into The Assembly of Confessing Congregations. The work of EMU was celebrated, thanks was given to God and members ‘passed on the torch’ to the ACC. Rev Max Champion, the national Chair of ACC was present to advise the SA ACC members who gathered for a planning meeting to form an ACC-SA group the next day, 24th February at the Glenunga UC.
At this meeting a new group was formed: ACC-SA Movement.
The SA ACC Movement has been active in organising local and regional events, including the first emerging Leaders Camp which was held in 2011 to encourage young leaders within the Uniting Church. Subsequently this innovative leadership training camp has been held every second year.
Since the 15th National Assembly held in July 2018, ACC-SA has been working more closely with 3D-net, Hope Network, the UAICC and other ACC State bodies. This has strengthened the Evangelical contribution to the life of the UCA nationally.
