SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 7-28

John 1: 16
"And of his fullness have we all received
grace upon grace." (RSV)

How difficult it is to express in human words
God's "grace upon grace".
The Amplified Bible expresses it in these words:
"one grace after another
and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing,
and even favour upon favour
and gift upon gift."

Although we struggle to find the meaning of God's grace
yet our hearts beat a little faster
as we seek to express it.
It is gifted to us "of his fullness".

We don't have to describe it in human terms
but experience it in our hearts.

Our heavenly father imparts it
through his everlasting love.
Thereby it becomes
"grace upon grace" in us.

It is through his continuing love and grace
that our faith grows and becomes
a powerful influence in our day-by-day living.

Also through his love and grace
comes our peace and joy.

Grace begins with God and is freely given by him.
His graciousness to us is our motivation
for extending grace and love to others.
